by GeneGeiger on August 31, 2014

BSECandroRiverTrailSIGHTS3p08xx14The Androscoggin River Trail segment of the Lisbon Trails System runs along an old railroad bed, parallel to Route 196 and the Androscoggin River.

The town of Lisbon recently celebrated the near completion of its Androscoggin River Trail, stretching from the Sabattus River boat launch off Route 196 to the heart of Lisbon village.

The Androscoggin River Trail is the third and final section of the Lisbon Trails System, which now links Lisbon Falls to the center of Lisbon village. The multi-use paved pathway is 9 to 10 feet wide and 3.35 miles long.
